“Thank you to these wonderful people who helped to further the dream of affordable housing for performing artists in the Calgary area!” YAAAA-HOOOO!!!! The Ranchman’s North (333 – 4th Ave. SW) have teamed up with Jon Lord to put on the biggest and best indoor networker/fundraiser Stampede Party downtown this year! Every year, Jon and his friends support a very worthwhile charity and 2010 is no different. This year again, for the second year, the charity is PAL
Calgary. The Stampede Hoedown is held on Parade Day ( Friday July 9th this year) Doors open at 5:30 PM, dinner served 6 PM until 7:00PM at: 333 – 4th Ave SW Your $10.00 ticket includes dinner First come first served! First 700 get the food!
Free Music (top-notch band as usual ) Your drinks will be low-cost And the opportunity to buy some great silent auction items as well!

PAL Calgary was present for curtain speech fundraising for the entire run of ATP’s Half Life, April 29th through May 17th. Everyone came out and saw award winning Canadian work by playwright John Mighton and support Pal Calgary’s efforts. The production starred Grant Reddick, Shirley Broderick, Christopher Hunt, Val Planche, Kira Bradley, Kevin Rothery, and Kathryn Kerbes. “Patrick and Clara meet in a care home and begin to fall in love. As their adult children observe them, the older couple rediscovers beauty and love in the twilight of their lives.” PAL Calgary extends their gratitude to ATP for this opportunity. |
In April we had the run of Vertigo Theatre/Serendipity production of Gin Game with half of the proceeds going to PAL Calgary. Click the image for a bigger picture. |
Hedwig and the Angry Inch PAL Calgary held a curtain speech fundraiser March 7 and 8 during the run of Sage Theatre’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Geoffrey Ewart and Jamie Konchak directed by Kelly Reay at the Pumphouse Theatres in the Joyce Doolittle Theatre. One of the cast spoke to the audience after the show, telling them about PAL and asking for donations to assist PAL Calgary in its efforts. |
